Questions

The questions worth asking before you buy.

What arrives, who connects it, what counts as a revision, and what happens when something is broken. The answers that decide whether this is a good idea for you are the ones most studios keep for the call.

What you actually receive

What exactly do I receive?
A folder of files that is a complete, working website: the pages, the code behind them, the images at the sizes they are used at, and the fonts or the licences for them. With it comes a written handover listing every third-party component and the licence it carries. Nothing is locked, nothing calls home, and there is no account of ours you have to keep paying for to keep the site working.
Do you connect it for me?
No, and it is the most important line on this page. We do not deploy it, host it, register or transfer a domain, point DNS, issue certificates, connect a payment account or open an account with any provider on your behalf. We do not ask for your passwords and we will not accept them if you offer. You receive the files. Putting them online is yours.
What if I cannot connect it myself?
Buy the connection guide, at $500. It is written for your project rather than being a generic manual: your exact steps in order, your settings ready to copy, a short video for each stage, and what to do when a step does not work. It adds nothing to your delivery date. If you would still rather not touch it, hand the files and the guide to any developer, or to whoever already runs your IT. Nothing in the licence stops you, and it is a short job for them.
Who owns the code?
Everything made only for you is assigned to you outright on the day payment clears: the copy where we wrote it, the logo where we drew it, images we created or licensed in your name, and any bespoke code. The underlying design and the shared components come to you under a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide licence you can transfer with the business and modify however you like, including by paying somebody else to do it. The one thing you do not get is exclusivity: the same design is licensed to other clients, and that is what makes a fixed price possible. You may not resell the design itself as a template.
Do I get to see it before I get it?
Yes. Your site sits on a private link while it is being built, so what you approve is a working website rather than a picture of one. The preview runs on our infrastructure for review only: you cannot point a domain at it, it is not hosting, and it comes down 60 days after sign-off.

Changes, defects and the end of the job

What counts as a revision?
A change to something your approved specification already describes. Wording. One image swapped for another. A colour from the agreed palette. Spacing. The order of sections on a page that already exists. What is not a revision is a new requirement: another page, a different design, a feature nobody specified, or a change of direction after sign-off. Those are quoted, and they are quoted before we do them rather than after.
What if I go over the revision rounds?
Every package carries two rounds of changes. A further round is on the pricing page at $250 and you can buy more than one. You will not find this out at the end: your order shows which rounds you have used, and we say which round we are returning work from when we return it.
What if there is a bug?
A defect is a departure from what your specification and quote say the site does: something that does not work as specified, does not match what was specified, or breaks in a browser we build for. We fix defects free for 30 days from delivery, however many revision rounds you have used, and a defect never consumes a round. What is not a defect is a failure caused by your hosting, your domain, your DNS, your certificates, something you added after delivery, or a third-party service changing its interface. We did not build those and we cannot see them.
When does the job actually end?
Two clocks, and they are different. Your revision rounds stay open for 14 days after we deliver, and after we return work from a round; we tell you the date they close, and silence closes them, because otherwise no project ever ends. The defect warranty runs 30 days from delivery and is untouched by that. Once both have run out, our work on your project is finished: we are not on call, we do not monitor the site, and we will not know if something breaks.

Time, money and cancelling

How long does it take, and what starts the clock?
Between 14 and 30 working days depending on the package, plus whatever days the options you chose add. Every one of those figures is a maximum, and every one is counted from the day your last required piece of material reaches us, never from the day you paid. Your basket shows the total before you commit to it. Someone who sends their logo a fortnight late has spent their own time rather than ours, which is the only way a fixed date can be honest.
What if my words and images are not ready?
Then the clock has not started, and the delay costs you the date rather than costing us the price. If writing the pages is what is actually stopping you, we sell that per page at $150: you answer questions, we write it. Copy that never arrives is the commonest reason a build runs late, so it is worth solving before you order rather than after.
Why are the prices on the website?
Because a published price is a commitment and a number produced after a call is not. Packages from $1,000, every option carrying its own price and its own effect on the date, and the total in your basket before you have told us anything about yourself. A quote holds for 14 days and then lapses, so a price from months ago can never be accepted against today's work. It costs us the enquiries we were always going to lose. We would rather lose those on the pricing page than in the third meeting.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Buying as a consumer, you have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. In the EU and the UK that is a statutory right; Australian buyers get the same 14 days from us by contract, on top of consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded at all. Cancel before we start and you are refunded in full. Cancel part way through, having asked us to begin early, and you pay in proportion to the work carried out up to the moment you told us, calculated against your quote, with the calculation and the record shown to you and nothing added on top. Refunds go back the way the money came in, within 14 days.
Do I have to pay you anything monthly?
No. There is nothing to cancel and no account of ours the site depends on. The only recurring thing we sell is the Care Plan at $90 a month, for security updates, backups and fixes, and it is cancelled from your account in one step with effect from the end of the month you have paid for. Without it, keeping the site updated is yours. A site slowly stops working as the things it depends on age; that is how the web works, not a sales line.

The edges

What if I need something none of the designs do?
Say so in the same form. Where the catalogue genuinely does not contain what you need, it produces a written proposal instead of a checkout, and anything above $2,500 is confirmed by a person here before any money moves. Platform, at $10,000, is the one tier where the design is drawn for you rather than chosen from the library. If what you want is a native mobile app, a site in a language none of us reads, or somebody on call when it breaks, we are the wrong studio and you will hear that in the first reply.
Can I change it later, or hand it to another developer?
Yes to both, and you need no permission from us for either. The licence is perpetual and expressly includes having someone else do the work. There is no proprietary editor to be locked into and no export to request. The only things you cannot do are resell the design itself as a template and strip the licence notices out of the code.
Is the site accessible?
The designs are built to WCAG 2.1 AA, which is why it is not a line item on every order. What the full accessibility standard buys is the part that costs real time: building and testing against each criterion and reporting what was met. That is the version you need if you are an online shop serving the EU, where it has been a legal requirement since June 2025. A criterion we tested and reported as met, and which is not met on delivery, is a defect and is fixed free.
What happens to the material I send you?
We use it to quote for, build, preview and deliver your project, and for nothing else. We do not put your project in our marketing and we never publish anything as a client story without written consent to the exact wording. Ask for your data to be deleted and we do it, within one month, as the GDPR requires. What we keep, for how long, and the narrow cases where a legal obligation makes us hold on to something are all set out in the privacy policy.

Still deciding

Everything above is on the pricing page as a number.

The rounds, the days, the warranty and the total sit next to the package they belong to. Read them there and you will know what this costs before anyone knows your name.

If your question is genuinely not here, write to us and a person answers it.
